Blockchain Bridge

A blockchain bridge is a mechanism that connects two separate blockchain networks and enables the transfer of information and assets between them. Bridges allow tokens and data to be moved across chains, allowing users to leverage the capabilities of different blockchains. There are two main types of bridges: trusted bridges that rely on a central custodian to facilitate transfers, and trustless bridges that use smart contracts to enable transfers in a decentralized manner. While crucial for interoperability, bridges also introduce risks related to smart contract vulnerabilities, custody of funds, and security.
