Token

Digital representation of an asset or specific use. This may refer to a native digital asset (tradeable online gaming gold) or represent a credit or service (quantity of file storage). Tokens are not necessarily cryptocurrencies, but they do in fact originate from smart contracts existing on blockchain networks. On the Ethereum network, the two most common types of token interfaces are ERC-20 and ERC-721. ERC-20 is the standard set of commands for fungible smart-contract tokens, commonly hosted on the Ethereum network. ERC-721 is a more advanced token interface and used for non-fungible tokens.
